Last peak before April 8th
Last sneak peak of the Indian / Eagle totem carving before our show in Nokomis IL on April 8th. I know it sounds crazy that you should be in little old Nokomis IL on April 8th but trust me.
If you are in to having a good time with your family this is the place you want to be. It is going to be happening at their beautiful park.
Filled with things to do for you and the kids. I can't think of a better month to have this show for me. I will be there very much in support of autism month and one of the biggest projects we have this year. Which go hand in hand.
We are making a custom one off bench for the Calan. We are hoping to have it on display or be finishing it up on April 8th. We have finally locked the perfect design in our brains and are getting ready to start putting it into wood.
We wanted this bench to really be both for anyone and represent that it helped fund a great cause. For those of you that don't know Calan's story. He was diagnosed with classic autism. He is a perfect six year old little boy that can't speak.
There are many great things that getting a service dog will do for the family. But just to name a few. Calan has panic attacks in the middle of the night. His parents have had to chase him down as he has tried to make it to the park or Grandma's house.
He was also diagnosed with a disorder that makes him think that it is ok to eat things that are not edible.
A service dog in just these two instances alone would alert his parents that something is wrong or Calan is potentially doing something that could endanger his life.
Please make sure you stop by and check out their booth at the event as they will be selling baked goods to raise money towards this cause.
If you would like to enter in the raffle and are not going to be able to make it to the event. Or are even out of state you can do so by clicking the ticket below.
There will also be a ton of other stuff that you and your family will be able to enjoy at the event. This is just one of the flyers I snagged off of the Downtown Nokomis Association Event's page.
Thought this was a really cool thing they are doing also for autism Awareness month.
